Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Dade County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider processes the query under its own privacy policy and may ask for more information before showing results.
If you email or otherwise send a message, the details you choose to provide are kept as needed to read the request and reply. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless doing so is required by law or needed to address abuse, security, or a valid legal demand.
Technical Data Collected
Like most websites, the service may receive routine technical information when a page loads. This data supports security, performance checks, and basic traffic measurement. It can include:
- the visitor's Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring page, when supplied; and
- the date and time of each request.
Cookies may be used to understand how people move through the site and to support site or advertising features. A browser can reject or delete cookies. Some functions may then work differently.
How Data Is Used
Collected information is used only for routine site operations and service improvement. Typical uses include:
- keeping pages available and responsive;
- sending a search request to the selected partner;
- measuring which Dade County resources are useful;
- finding errors, attacks, and other technical problems; and
- displaying advertising that may reflect general interests.
These uses do not turn the site into a government record custodian. Official release and court records remain with the Dade County Sheriff, Cedar County, Missouri courts, MODOC, or the federal agency that created them.
Linked Sites Set Their Rules
Links may lead to sheriff and corrections pages, release-record sources, government portals, and outside search services. Missouri public records available under Chapter 610 remain subject to the agency's access rules. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy controls its collection and use of data.
Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technology on their own systems to measure ads and select content. Their activity is governed by their notices, not this one.
Who May Receive Data
Personal data is not sold as a contact list. Limited information may reach service providers or public bodies when needed for the uses stated here, including:
- search partners that process submitted queries;
- analytics providers that measure site traffic;
- advertising networks that deliver or assess ads; and
- law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard safeguards are used to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, and loss. No website, network, or storage method can be promised as breach-proof. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive personal details that are not needed for a reply.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to legal and technical limits, a visitor may ask what personal information the site holds, request correction of inaccurate data, ask for deletion, or object to certain processing. Browser controls also allow a visitor to block cookies. Requests should identify the message or account information at issue without sending unrelated private records.
Changes to This Notice
This notice may be revised as site features, providers, or legal requirements change. A new version takes effect when posted here with its updated effective date. Effective July 27, 2026.
