Dade County Post-Release Supervision

The Missouri Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole supervises several groups connected to Dade County. A court can place a person on felony probation without a state-prison term. The Missouri Parole Board can release a state prisoner on parole. Conditional release is a supervised portion built into many Missouri sentences under RSMo 558.011. The division also handles qualifying cases accepted through the Interstate Compact.

Physical release and final discharge are different events. A parolee or conditional releasee lives outside prison but remains an active MODOC offender. A probationer may never have entered prison. Final discharge ends the department or Board relationship for that sentence. Current jail rosters are not designed to answer any of these supervision questions. Start with the active offender record, the public court case, and the assigned field office.

Dade County Parole Versus Probation

The source of supervision determines which record proves it. Probation comes from the sentencing court. Parole follows a prison commitment and Board release. Conditional release also follows a prison term, but it arises from Missouri's sentence structure rather than being the same thing as parole. In each case, the field office manages active supervision after release.

Parole

Conditional community release from prison under Board authority before the sentence relationship ends.

Probation

Court-ordered community supervision that may occur instead of a prison term.

Absconder

A supervision status alleging that the person stopped reporting or cannot be located under agency procedures.

Discharge

The end of the supervision relationship, not simply release from a jail or prison building.

Note: Probation can begin without prison, while parole always follows a state prison commitment in Missouri.

Verify Dade County Parole Status

Use stable identifiers and reconcile the agency, court, and supervision records. The MODOC Offender Search covers active offenders, including probationers and parolees. A result located at District 9 or another field office may indicate community supervision rather than incarceration. The search expressly excludes discharged offenders, and some records can be withheld for safety, security, or confidentiality.

1. Search the legal first and last name, then compare the DOC number, offense, county, sentence, and public location fields.
2. Read the location carefully. An institution is custody; a field office can mean the person has been physically released.
3. Search Case.net in the 28th Judicial Circuit for the Dade judgment, probation order, revocation, or commitment.
4. Call District 9 at 417-629-3200 for current public confirmation of the office assignment. The Dade alternate site is appointment-only.
5. For parole, compare any public Board decision and release date. A hearing date or guideline is not a release order.
6. If the active search is blank after expected completion, use the MODOC historical Sunshine data or a focused records request.

MODOC identifies confirmation of supervision, the officer and office, present offenses, sentence and judgment, supervision term and conditions, custody or bond status, parole or conditional-release date, Board release decision, and prior convictions as public information. Confidential assessment, treatment, health, victim, and pre-sentence material should not be requested as though it were open.

Where Does Dade County Report?

Dade County has an alternate Probation and Parole reporting location at 2 Main Street, Greenfield, Missouri 65661. The official District 9 resource guide lists appointments on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It is not a daily walk-in office and it is not a jail. Call the main District 9 office before traveling to confirm the current appointment, assigned officer, and reporting location.

Regular district offices generally operate from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday except state holidays. Those general hours do not convert the Greenfield alternate site into a full-time office. An old PDF may also contain staff names that change, so use the main number for current assignment rather than treating an older named officer as permanent.

Note: The Greenfield reporting site is appointment-only; call District 9 before relying on an older assignment.

Who Fixes Dade Supervision Records?

A post-release record can span Dade, Cedar, the court, and MODOC. Dade may own the arrest or transport entry. Cedar may own the jail release time and destination. The Dade County Circuit Clerk owns the judgment, probation order, revocation docket, and other court entries. MODOC owns the active supervision, field-office, state release, and completion data. The Missouri Parole Board owns its public decision record.

Correction requests should go to the custodian that created the disputed field. A wrong jail release time is not corrected through District 9. A mistaken probation judgment belongs with the court process. A state location or completion error belongs with MODOC. State the DOC or case number, quote the exact field, attach the source record that conflicts, and ask for a written explanation or correction. If information is expunged or closed, include the governing order and identify the entry affected.

Dade County Parole Board Records

The Missouri Parole Board controls parole decisions. No public month-by-month calendar of named individual hearings or anonymous statewide results database was verified. Board rules describe the process and general timing, but a future hearing does not mean release has been granted. Questions about a specific release date and home plan belong with the institutional parole office.

The Board page displays its contact information, rules, and warning that time-to-serve guidelines do not guarantee release.

That warning is central: eligibility and guideline ranges do not compel a release date.

The official Board information says decisions normally take 8 to 12 weeks. MOVANS registrants receive notice when a decision enters the system. Possible Board actions include setting a release date, denying release and scheduling later review, continuing the matter for more information or programming, and rescinding or canceling a date under the rules. Dade County Absconder Record Checks

An absconder label is not a release type. It means the supervision agency alleges that the person failed to report or cannot be located under required procedures. A Board warrant or court warrant may lead to arrest and return to custody. No official public absconder list from Dade County Sheriff Ryan Robison was found, and a missed appointment or old news report does not prove that a warrant is active.

Check the current MODOC status, the public Case.net docket where a warrant entry is open, and District 9. Some warrant information can remain restricted until service. MOVANS may provide a custody or court-event notice for a registered person, but its status is a notification lead rather than a certified warrant or discharge record. If a custody event follows, identify whether the person returned to a county jail, a MODOC institution, or another authority.

Note: A missed appointment alone does not prove an absconder finding or an active warrant record.

Confirm Dade County Supervision Discharge

For parole, RSMo 217.730 allows a final order and certificate of discharge after the required performance and time criteria are satisfied. Strong confirmation comes from that certificate or order, a written MODOC custodian response, or the historical file's completed and end-date fields. A person dropping out of the active offender search is consistent with discharge, but it is not conclusive because the search warns that discharged records are excluded and other records may be unavailable.

The MODOC Sunshine data covers people currently or formerly under department supervision and documents a sentence-completed flag plus location and sentence end fields.
